Born and raised in Kazakhstan, Anya distills the cultural amalgams of East and West into playful combinations of eclectic and modern, raw and refined, timeless yet spontaneous.
A graduate from McGill Masters in Architecture in Montreal, Anya studied in Canada and Italy before further pursuing her design research in Japan.
She then honed her skills at leading offices in Toronto and New York working on hospitality, retail and cultural projects throughout Russia, Asia, Mexico and Brazil, including brands like Grand Hyatt, St. Regis and Four Seasons.
In the last six years Anya was a design director at Hariri Pontarini Architects executing interior design visions for award winning custom residences and cultural venues, including Stratford Theatre in Canada.
With her multicultural background, understanding of high-end needs, and with over 15 years of experience in hospitality and custom homes she founded Studio Anya Antropova in 2023.
Anya currently lives between Canada and India, always in search of meaningful partnerships, projects and experiences.
